I have heard that vmaxjohn's setup is good for these sleds using a 2.4 in 1st and tip. However the setup in the clutch tuning and jetting page says to use a 0.8 g in the tip. Is this setup incorrect or will it work just as well?

try it both ways and see for your self,but i would try VJ set up.musselman said:

That's what I was thinking, I just already had the 0.8g rivets because I assumed the two setup were the same (vj's and tech pages) but they were not. I will get some 2.4g next week and try it out. Thanks

well try them both you don't want any more then 7800 at WOT tho so keep that I'm mind.

Well I put the 0.8g in the tip and it seems to rev just under 8000 WOT but it's hard to tell if it's more than 7800. It goes good though, it will do 140 on a lake.
that is what the one i had would do after i did it.
