I didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I thought I would ask. I am taking my 84 phazer to the UP for a weekend trip and need to plan out my fuel stops. Assume stock sled, everything is working properly, groomed trail and probably 1/2 throttle and up most of the time. how many miles a tank can I expect? Thanks

A properly maintained Phazer on a groomed trail can easily average ~16 MPG.

Thanks Vmax540. I typically use an arbitrary 10mpg when maping out trips just to be safe. I just wanted verification. The phazer has a 6.5 gallon tank correct?

The Phazer II's have a 8.3 gallon tank and if I'm right..... The original Phazers held slightly less.

The tank is listed as 8.4 gallons. You should be able to count on 100 miles per tank. To increase the fuel mileage, remove the side panels.

We used to get 100 miles safely on our '86 and '86 Phazers, and pending on how hard you are on the gas 110 miles, but stick to 100 miles it's safe math for gas mpg!!

Those Phazers will go just as far as the new sleds on a tank of gas... They sip fuel, and its still a pretty big tank.
Phazers are great on gas!
