Hey i was just wondering how many military vets and current service members are on here. I salute and thank you for taking up the call and taking up the cross that it takes to be a part of the strongest military this world has seen and has yet to see. Come 2 FEB 10 i'll be starting my journey to join the ranks and i'm praying for the strength of those that have gone before me to make it.

Congratulations! It takes a lot of courage to do what you are doing but you should be proud! which branch are you joining?
work hard, learn to be mentaly stong and the physical will follow! the more you know the farther you will go!
I was U.S. Army Infantry 11B, Follow me! Huah! I was in when Desert shield started up and later became desert storm. We thought that was crazy but that was a mechanized war, now it's all on the ground.
Be strong, Be proud and Thank You!

My son Brandon joined the Army, He leaves 1/19 for Fort Benning Ga. to start basic training. He signed up for infantry and can't wait to go fight the bad guy. I'm one proud Dad.

I'm going Army, 68 Whiskey, Healthcare Specialist (fancy way of saying "medic"). I'll be heading to Ft. Benning, GA for basic and then Ft. Sam Houston, TX for AIT. Thank you sleddheadd and GibViper for your service and thanks blue2thebone for standing behind your son.

AH,. Yes! Fort Benning! what a great place! 1st of the 19th charlie company was my stay at Benning. one thing I found out was about that famous Georgie clay, everyone always talks about the georgia soil being clay and guess what, at Benning there is no clay! lol...... it's all sand! and it is going to get everywhere! makes it tough keeping your weapon clean! If you were closer , I'd sit down and give you some more pointers and suggestions to help you get through Basic. Good Luck Kid! Thank You!
