When im on the lake and i hold the throttle to the bars the red overheat light starts to flash anywhere from 80-100mph. There was enough snow on the lake to keep it cool i believe. Any reason behind this. It does it everytime. Even if i pin it on a straight open trail it will start blinking. It seems like once i pin it and hold it to the bars for a copule seconds the light will come on. Should i be worried when im on the lake with buddies WOT?

over heat is a steady fast flash. anything else is a trouble code, you have to count the flashes. the way your decribing it i would guess servo code (7 fast flashes pause 7 fast flashes pause.....) are your cables set to tight cus that could cause it? any way count the flashes and let us know.

your thermostat could be hooped like mine was last year.WOT and the light came on steady.Changed my thermostat, found the old one broke apart.Been good since.Open up and take a look at your thermostat first. Eliminate one thing at a time.

my guess is the same ...cables a bit too tight 7 flashes ....kinda hard to count them and drive tho....have you cleaned and adjusted you cables lately ??

What cables do you speak of? And yeah it is hard to keep count when your doing 80mph lol. I will try and count flashes. Also where can i find my thermostat

No but probably wont hurt. I will adjust them after the next ride when i clean the valves

the first thing to do is find out the code its giving you . could be over heat but it could also be about 6-7 other problems. need to count the flashes.
