Well this guy was just waiting for the time to go by until he can get some good cash out of this thing... 6k for it with 1400 km's... brand spanks... how can you just let it sit and not put barely any km's on it over that many years...

The only other person I really know that has a newer one is one of my dads buddys... has a 01 srx 700 still in the crate... waiting for the right time to get some killer $$$ out of it... im sure there's alot of ppl that would pay a pretty dime for a brand spanking new srx still in the crate...

well it aint orgional .....them metal skis dont belong on it ,,,,and srx`s wernt made with mirrors that i know of .....now one still in the crate thats a gem ....got ant pics of the one in the crate ? still has to be assembled patr way rite?
 
Yea there has been things added to the 98 thats for sure... just was shocked at the asking price for a 98... even with 1400km's... weather its fales or not...

Dont got any pics of the 01 thats in the crate... I tried getting the guys phone number to see how much he would let it go for but my dads buddy said hes not plannin on selling it anytime soon... This was last year too though...

Yea.. if I am right... he worked at a yammie shop and just ordered it back in the day and brought it home the way they receive them off the truck at the dealership... so not entirely assembled.

found this out while I was getting a mech to work on my first srx... didnt see the 01 in the crate or meet the guy that has it... but yea... he said I got a buddy with 2 of these he has a 00 that he rides daily and a 01 still in the crate which he is going to be keeping for a long time to come... but ill beleive him he is a creditable person... not to mention the guy prob got the sled at cost or some kind of deal for working for yamaha...
 
i paid $4400 for my 2001 SRX 700 this past Sept and it only had 1300km's on it. i guess if the buyer wants it bad enough they'll pay.

now do you think i can get $6000 for my 98 SRX7 , slightly used with only 22000km's. ;)!
 
damn thats a killer deal on the 01!... i payed 3500 for mine with the mods listed... and 4000km's on engine... but 11,000 on sled...


pff I wouldnt ask anything less for the 98 especially with 22,000 km's... jut means its been broken in... and ready to ride hard haha
 
i found it on Kijiji as well in Niagra falls. the man that owned it was real fussy. he wouldn't let me tie it down in the trailer until i placed rags under the t-bars. he didn't want me scratching the skis :o| . i even had my buddies enlcosed trailer. this thing looks like it was just taken out of the crate and you can still smell the paint buring off the exhaust pipes. it was sold in Wawa back in '05 so that means a yamaha dealer there had it for 4 years before they sold it. i'm now the proud 4th owner but i can tell you i will be driving it , it won't just sit in my garage collecting dust. ;)!
 
jesus... well atleast it was well taken care off till then to say the least lol! man.. unreal deal you got! haha good to ehar your riding it though!... as if it never really sold... im shocked...
 
Why are you so surprised, I paid only $1,700 for a Viper with 596 miles. And this was at an auction. The Viper was not what I was even looking for but the price was right so we bought it. I wished it would have been a SXR but it wasn't. 2 stroke sleds with the conventional chassie are not bringing high prices anywhere that I have seen. Al
 
im just shocked cause where ever I look online... and I go out to about 4-5hours away from my place max distance wise... and havent overly found great deals for low km sleds...
 
I just finished servicing two 2001 Phazer Deluxes with under 900 miles each. I am going to deliver back tonight. The owners will probably only use once or twice this year, max. I know this is not what you are comparing but low millage sleds are out there. Al
 
Oh im sure there are loads out there... just the trick to come accross them... to some people... like in your position (as an example) seems like you come across them often... closest ill come to low milage is on a rebuild! lol... or if i shop around for a good long while... but I find that alot of the lower mile sleds for sale are not always online and if they are usually sell pretty damn fast... ive seen 1 or two low ones but prices where insane
 
they're out there but far and few between. there was also a guy that had a 98 sx700 listed with only 1000km on Kijiji around that same week and he only wanted something like a $2000 for it. it looked real clean too. it didn't stay listed long either.

you should have seen my wife's face when i opened the hood, she leaned over to me and tells me to grab it quick and load it up before he changes his mind.

now if someone wants to give me $8000 for it i would sell it and go buy that from Albany , NY. what a beauty of a sled. have you seen that thing yet? you have to check it out. sweeeet!! :letitsnow

Yep, I mentioned it before... But I love the fact that I got my 2000 SRX 700 with 1300 miles on it this past fall for $1100!!!
