is it typical to have a little fuel residual in an airbox? Im taking my carbs off to clean them on my 01 srx 700 and found some fuel, not like puddles or anything, just residual and a little bit in the corners
That is normal. Just a little blow back.

If I remember right a piston port engine, ex: Exciters are worse for spit back. Al

twins with boost bottles don't have it/do it,something to do with the boost bottle prevents it,evens out/equalizes the air flow if mem serves me.
