ok so ive been working on getting my sled running good, reading plugs and everything, got it to burn nice and golden brown (BTW thanks to EVERYONE who helped me with them problems) so i got good mid range, but my low end still doesn't seem to move much seems like the clutch is overworking, and i have no top end, i do 7000 rpms and 3/4th throttle, and it bogs after, i say my clutch needs to be cleaned but i cant afford a puller, and shops cost too much, and i was looking at a friend of mines ski-doo and his belt rides about 1/4th of an inch above the secondary clutch, should mine be like that? my belt rides about 1/4th of an inch below, and its loose on the primary clutch so it slides back and forth in the primary, how high is my belt supposed to ride? because i think my belts worn and not sure thought id ask you guys.

You do not need a puller to clean and inspect your primary simply, remove the large bolt with an impact. Then remove at all the small six bolts holding the cover a little at a time and evenly. Be carefull the cover is under spring pressure. The belt should be even or slightly above the sheeves for best bottom end/take off power. Make sure you have the correct belt and the C. to C. distance is correct. There are 2 shims in between the secondary sheeves that can be removed as the belt wears to allow the belt to be high on the secondary.

ok thanks, im going to look into this, how do i get the spring back on if i clean it out? im going to check the belt first because it rides really low, and there is like a 1/4th inch distance between the belt and the primary clutch.
