Still haven't rode my SRX this year, except some lake runs to test clutching! Complete bullsh*t. Plus Celcius temperatures. I get jealous reading about all of your sled mechanical "issues", could use a few of them now. booooo

Thats rough dude. We got about 1 months worth of snow in a matter of days back in december and since then nothing significant. And according to the long range forecast there's nothing in sight. But it's still early in the season, hopefully the second half of this month, February and March are better. Who knows, maybe we'll get one of those long winters that go strong into early April. One can only hope...
We dumped off at 11th street service station on Sunday and took a run to Vanscoy, Delisle, Asquith and back. Up until Asquith it wasn't bad, stayed in the fields and hit a lot of stubble, but the ride from Asquith to Saskatoon was all in the ditch and was the worst ride I could ever remember. But, it might be the last time we ride around here this year the way the snow is disappearing this week!Todddob said:Still haven't rode my SRX this year, except some lake runs to test clutching! Yea, I feel for you there too. I'm longtracked to 141 now so I went to Revy the week before christmas and it was awesome there. Then over christmas I went north of Edmonton to my sis and brother-inlaws and they had 1/1/2 feet there so it was pretty good there too. But coming back home really sucked. Going back to Revy for a week on the 23rd so I'll get some good riding in there again.bluemonster1 said:sasksrx...you have it bad to I see.If you don't get any snow, certainly we aren't

This winter started off o.k., but is starting to suck. We haven't got snow in December in years, so that was normal, but we did get a good storm around Jan. 1st or 2nd. I got a couple short rides in, only 100 km total, so far, and it is already getting warm/getting a few rain drops lately also. It isn't looking to good. And, last year we didn't get rideable snow anytime after the first weekend of February or so. I am thinking about selling the sled and buying a 4x4 atv(Canam Renegade 800) that I can use year round. Really sucks....

where is the snow???
i feel your pain, we always have snow ... usually have 4 feet by now... barely enough to cover grass. I guess BC got it for the Olympics. I'm not giving up on the season yet, but if it keeps up a new four wheeler is starting to look good for the future!

yep..it sucks alright. What we have now (which is barely enough to even cover grass in the ditches)will dissapear from now to next week.Near 0 temps and possibly rain showers. There is a glimmer of hope as weatherman is forecasting 20 cm's for around the 24th..BUT that can change..Looks like a mild January with no end in sight.

If the weather keep this crap up Ill be giving up on the sport.....and picking up another...I dont have the time or the money to head to the UP all the time....SO...Why look at $8000 worth of sleds when I cant use them when I could use a street car or a crotch rocket a hell of alot more. Diff glad I picked up a 08 Grizz700 this year, cause so far thats got more use than the sleds and just as fun to ride just not as fast which bothers me.

I think we all have this same feeling every now and again. I believe the weather has cycles and every 7/8 yrs we have a sucky winter---and summer for that matter.ExpertXViper said:.....and picking up another...I dont have the time or the money to head to the UP all the time....SO...Why look at $8000 worth of sleds when I cant use them when I could use a street car or a crotch rocket a hell of alot more. I have come to accept mother nature a little better than in the past and have found that NOT having a ka zillion dollars wrapped up in my sled helps ease my mind when Im sitting home and its 40 and raining in January. This is 99% why I sold all my new sleds off and paid cash for a trusty ol 2002 SRX...

I am also getting ticked off about this season aswell. Im not giving up just yet though even though were getting 35 degree weather for the next week. My sled is down right now so i look at it this way. I rather have my sled down this week then the next couple weeks when we have 2 feet of snow.

ya i cannot believe this crap. i pretend not to care, but it eats at me. If this is the case next winter i might have to love an R6 instead of an SRX
