ok guys i need a mag side power valve cable for a 99 srx ....or a viper cable ....who has one i can buy ....the cheaper the better ....or trade work or parts for it .....just let me know

My understanding is that there generally only diamond honed after there recoated and a diamond hone is a bit rare.About all your average repair guy does is deglaze them.If the coating is damaged its probably time for a new or reconditioned cylinder.

well he used a regular hone and said it didnt do much...he has a small scratch in niscal no chipping tho and trying to help save him a few bucks ...i think he can run it how it is its not bad but i figure a diamond hone would be better to use .....what are your toughts run it or diamond hone it?? i got a jug for him but he cant afford it yet this year and i am just trying to help him thru this season ......

I would check the clearances on the cylinders and if there within spec and you can't catch a nail in that scratch run them. The diamond hone is just for cross hatching the nicasil seeing that its so hard, just a deglaze is needed before reassembly.I have heard of guys who had a cylinder within spec and when re-ringing just cleaned it up and ran it and did'nt seem to have issues.
