Spaz's SRX

I have a few questions on Ohlins Springs. I broke a front shock shaft this weekend and lost the spring. I was informed that all SRX's had the same spring, but when I compared my 98 to my 01, they where different.
The 98 is 180-80.
The 01 is 180-78.
What is the difference between the two? Would it hurt if I swapped them?
I should also add that the 01 did not originally come with them, but they supposedly came off another SRX, if this helps.
Thanks, Spaz

buy 2 new springs if it aint too much money. if you replace one side new, the other is probley softer with millage and however hard you ride.

I actually just purchased a pair and was planning on that, but do not know what spring number they are. I was told all SRX's are the same, but my two sleds don't match???

The numbers refer to the spring rates. The 180-80 is slightly heavier, but minimal.
A 180-80 has a 220mm length and a rate of 154 lb/inch.
A 180-78 has a 200mm length and a rate of 141 lb/inch.
