I just got my sled (-01 Srx700) back from summer storage. Took a little ride and
noticed that it didn´t run as it should. So I thought I´d check the powervalves.
As I tried to pull the first one out, the whole valve stayed in the cylinder.
The wire end had gone through the end of the valve.
As I saw on the forum, this thing seem to be quite common.
I also saw that people had welded the ends and fixed the problems them self.
Can anyone that have welded the valve ends give me some feedback, because im thinking of welding it myself..
Is it working, and is it holding on as it should?
Thx,

Does anyone know what material the valves are made of? Asked a few people today and got many different answers back. As usual.. The damn pieces were 450€ new around here..

I can fix um for ya for a small fee - pretty tricky unless you have the equipment and do it all the time (alum. welding) call if ya need help 269 468 5046
Very nice of you. But there is a little problem. We seem to live quite far from eachother.
I know someone who welds aluminium all the time, and was going to have him
do it. How careful do you have to be with it? I mean with heating up the whole thing. Can it destroy the whole valve so it starts sticking more easily and so on. Cause metal has its own life when heating it. And it is good old aluminium its made of?
Thanks
