Airbox removal

I was wondering, to remove the airbox to get to the carbs do I have to remove the throttle and oil cables to remove the bottom part ?

No you don't, but you have to take your time and work it out. Its a little difficult getting it around the steering post

I take the top off , then like sask said...take your time. there is a few bolts tucked away.
