I am officially in a bind and I hope someone here has the answer. I had my 84 phazer out last night, started right up, did a couple laps around the yard, stopped shut it off. I adjusted the track. Did a couple more laps, shut it off and adjusted track, I did this a few times trying to get a little click noise out of the track. Anyway try to take off about 4th time and she’s a bit doggy. I get it up on the pipe for just a few yards and have to shut it down. Size of the lawn only gives me about 50 ft to accelerate. Its real doggy on the low end like I fouled a plug. I get it to my garage and pull the plugs. They are very light. I am assuming this is because the oil pump does not put out much oil at low rpms. I switch plugs to a new set. Still only one cylinder firing. I pull plugs and set them on top to check for spark and I have great spark on PTO side and a lighter/crackly spark on the mag side. I switch plugs and the light spark stayed on the mag side. Everything under the hood was pretty hot so I think my coil or something associated with it is going bad. I didn’t wait till things cooled off to try again because it was late. Please tell me it sounds like a bad coil Or any other ideas that I can try. I am supposed to take this sled over to my buddies tonight and head to the UP tomorrow. I will have a few hours today to get this thing going. Sorry for the long post, I am pretty stressed about this right now.

Phazer Electrical Problem
Are you sure its electrical ? Sometimes spark doesn't look great when there is nothing wrong . The plugs shouldn't look very light when you are riding in small yard , they would look wet and dark (especially with weak or no spark ) . You didn't say if the plugs were wet or dry ?

Wanted to give an update. I replaced the coil pack with a good, used unit and it runs great now. Rode around for about 30 min and didn't have any issues. Its going on the trailer and will be in MI UP tomorrow.
