Last year I bought a new trailing arm on Ebay. The ad said it was an OEM Yamaha left side arm for a Red Vmax. I got a pretty good deal on it. Anyhow it's for a deluxe not an sx. I was going to repaint it, but I noticed that the stamps don't match.

The one I bought has an R stamped on it and the one on my sled has a V stamped on it. Will that still work or is the chamber/caster different?

i belive the caster is different ,,,i have a red one but wait on a few guys to get back with me on the sled ....one guy needs the tunnel since his is bent so i told him i would sell it cheap striped down ,,,,,but ill let you know ...

The caster is different.

'V'-7" travel (SX,SRX) 23.5* caster, 10* shock bracket angle
'S'-6.7" travel (MM,PZML) 25.5* Caster, 7* Shock bracket angle
'R'-9" travel, high profile ski, 25.5* caster, 10 * shock bracket angle
'M'-9" travel, low profile 8DM ski or newer, 25.5* caster, 10* shock braket angle

It, just irritates me when someone sells a product and does not know what it fits, or assumes it will fit. This is misrepresentation. Whoever is selling items, please be informed of what you are selling. I bought some wear bars last year from a guy on the site here for 2000 SXR, with GYTR ski's, Guess what studs did not line up at all. A call back, and answer was to just drill new holes. BS. I still have these in a package hanging to remind me to very carefull who I order parts from. Good luck Al
