I thought I had a 3" riser with 2" pivot with stock cables. Well, as you can see in the photo, I have a 4" riser with 2" pivot and stock cables. It's been like this for 3 years now with zero issues. I think the aftermarket bars are lower profile than stock so it helps with the cables. Doug

The big difference is that the stock bars have about 5 inches of rise in them whereas the renthals on there have about 2. I've got a similar setup on my sled but with fly bars.
 
I like that setup though! Hopefully mine will look like that as well. I will be finishing up my bars and scratchers tonight and getting ready for our SnoBinge trip to Houghton!
