Stud size/qty for Viper

Installing a new hacksaw track that is pre-drilled for studs. This is a 1" track....suggestions on stud brand/source and quantity 96 or 144?

Sorry for the lamo question...
 
Number of studs is up to you. I run 120 on my wifes, and 144 on mine. Wifes stock great hook up, mine piped great hook up. Just remember to check your hole placement, I think some of the tracks you need double backers to run more than 96. My wifes is a kimpex with 144 predirilled and you need double backers.

Do you run 1" studs or get them a little longer? Any preference on square vs round backers? Do you re-use the backers? I think I have 144 on there now...this track is predrilled for 144...don't know about the doubles.
 
96 woody's megabites 1.075" w/ square alum. backers. make sure you index them on install. hooks up like chisels.

What is "index them" mean? This is a predrilled track...so all the work is done.

If you have a pre-drilled one from camoplast.You can do 96 or 144 up the center.But if you do 144 you have to use single and double backers.A 96 pattern you can use all singles or all doubles.Doubles are stronger and easier to install.Oh and the singles need to be square.I can get you any brand stud you want.Let me know.

They are about $35 more for a pack of 96 ($135 vs $171) ... but I give them a call.
