I pulled the skid from my sons 95 600 to get it ready for a up coming trip. I bought the sled 4 years ago. I rode it on one trip abut 300 miles. My GF rode it 50 Miles and my son rode it 150 last year. The guy I bought it from said he had just serviced it the year before I got it. My guess is it has never been apart. 5k and all the bearings but the rear center are bad. 2 are ready to lock up and one of them locked up after removing. Every bushing is worn out. One nut fell off and long bolt was getting ready to come completely out. So my question is. How often do you go through your sled suspension. I did my 700 2 seasons ago. I have put maybe 1000 miles on it since. Should I do it again. I was planning on just changing the wear bars.

Make sure you check the W arm for weld cracks.

I removed, disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble the entire rear suspension at the beginning of every season. Many of the plastic bushings in the rear suspensions do not have grease fittings so they are prone to wearing out quickly. The bushings wear out and the aluminum shafts also wear out. Take it out, cleaned it up and replace the worn out bushings. Reassemble the suspension with grease in the plastic bushing locations.
once a year should be looked at ....them bushings will need changed more often than you want to ....1000 miles ...want to bet they are almost shot again...even more if no grease fittings were installed .....
