I think my sled is using too much oil.
Should the distance on the oil cable adjustment be 2mm?
Does less than 2mm mean more or less oil going to the engine?

holy chit 2 mm she's at full full,your not measuring right.
Do these checks in this order;
1st- set idle to 16- 1,7000 rpm's(@ operating temp)
2nd- set throttle end play to 2mm(adjustment for that is here )
3rd- set oil pump cable free play here and here to 21(richer)to 23(leaner)mm
then set choke anytime to 1.5mm
you want to use 1 qt oil per tank(12 gals) of fuel for 50:1

2 mm wow ....guess that the splash of gas is to make the oil burn....sled must be great on gas but hell on oil .....does it leave oil puddles on the ground while u let it idle ?
