Is it possible to run 24/41 gears with a stock SRX chain? Also this may sound funny but how do you count the links in the chain? I count the links and I come up with 34? I am trying this with what I believe the stock chain. I read that 65 total teeth is most efficient with the stock chain.

count the pins
we always times the number of links by 2 so 34X2=68 links 35X2=70 links and so on seemed to work for us

I was under the assumption that my chain and the chain out of the case I bought were both '98 SRX stock chains. They both have 34 links. I will check the pins.

So that could be why the 24/41 combo I am trying to get in wont fit. Bout half inch short. I am gonna try 23/38 or 22/37. I am tring to compensate for my M-10 and my 300lb arse
you might want to go lower than higher, read valin's post & don't look at his avatar to long you'll forget everything your trying to do.........LOL
