What do you guys do to take the white spots out of the blue belly pans??? I heard that a heat gun works???

When I posted pics of my SRX I got a lot of comments on the white spots on the sides of my belly pan and lots of advice on how to get rid of them.
Trust me on this...a heat gun[not a blow dryer] removes them very nicely!

Thanks guys. I think it's time to get the old girl lookin like new again so she looks as well as she runs. Next is gonna be the trailing arms. They are showing some rust on the welds and on the underside. What would you do. Have them powder coated, or just sand and paint them yourself. I'm laid off right now so money is a little tight at the moment. If I was to take them off and do it myself what would I need to do the job???

heat gun works decent, i have even done same spot more than once, watch how long you stay in one spot with the gun though, can make it look worse. may not get rid off all of it but it does help alot. its worth a shot
