Was just wondering what are some of the main jet sizes that are safe for a 2003 SXr 600? Are the stock sizes best? In my 2000 SXr 700 I run 142.5 across all cylinders which are smaller than what came in it stock and it runs great. The 600 seems to run rich which a lot of stock sleds do and so was just wondering what some of you have been running for jet sizes in the SX 600 engine. Also was thinking of raising the needle clip 1 slot due to some blubbering when in the midrange, is this a good or bad idea? Getting ready for a trip to northern Wisconsin in February and was just trying to get the 600 running a little better. Thanks for any help.

I might be digging into the wifes SXR600 tonight . I will let you know what is in there for jets. Do you have the reed stopper notch done or reed spacers installed. That helps with some of the throttle response.

Yes, I have the reed spacers installed, also no head gasket mod. at this time.
Other than that the motor is completely stock.

Just got the carbs off and the main jets are mag, center, pto. 133.8,133.8 and 136.8.. Looks like stock jetting. My elevation is around 1600-1700 ft. Sled seems to run good. It's the wife's so I don't ride it much but don't recall and stumbles through out the throttle range.
