Has anyone had experience upgrading to a gas shock? The 91 Venture has 2700km & is mint but the rear is bouncing all over the place. I adjusted the preload & that helped a bit. Just wondering if upgrading the 19 year old shock would make a big difference? Can I rebuild it or buy an aftermarket gas shock?
Its the same suspension as the phazer 2.
It would be great to get a before & after review before I put a couple hundred into it.
Thanks,

Being that old it might make a difference.I don't think any yamaha shocks were rebuildable until the '96 model year maybe?Make sure that your springs aren't shot as that can make a difference also.Gas shocks might make a slight difference over stockers, but don't be expecting a huge difference. If you indeed need shocks just find some stock replacement type as that would be the cheapest and would work fine.
