Want to go look at this so, any opinions on the sled or what to look for would be much appreciated. Looking to update my 15 yr. old son from a 1995 Phazer II Thanks !

2002 YAMAHA SX600R SLED APPROX 2,000 MILES, RUNS & LOOKS GREAT NEW PLUGS, SKAGS & EXTRA BELT. $2,000 FIRM

Great machine for your son, plenty of power and great shocks, for handling. Fair price for this time of year. Red head tripple is a great power plant. Al

I have the same sled. Seems like I have to change the water pump seals every other year. That's about the only problem I have other than your normal wear items. My W-arm has been re-welded a couple of times even after gussets were added. All four shocks were rebuilt and set-up for my weight. Except for changing clutch parts (I am pretty much back to stock on the clutches), adding the small hyfax saver wheels, taller idler wheels, new track, custom paint, led lights and hand guards, my sled is stock. Has been super reliable for all of it's 16,000 plus miles, it's never been on a tow strap. Only one time it did not make it out of the trailer, this was caused by loss of spark due to a wire rub through under the engine.

Good Luck - Derek

I have very much enjoyed mine. I too had to fix the water pump impeller drip. Plenty of info on here about that. I also had a problem with worn clutch arms. Took a bit to find as everyone said it was a very unusual problem.

Stock performance for this sled in my opinion is good. I can accelerate with a Cat 600 triple piped with a lot less weight on it, and slowly pull an 800 Cat with more weight on it.

Sled looks good, runs good, and is dependable. Whats not to like?
