i have 48 woddys 1" megabite studs that i want to put on my 00 srx. the track is the stock .920". i planning on running 144 studs, but will the 1" be too short to be effective? should i order 96 1.075" megabites?

they will work but the 1.075's would be better. you want at least a 1/4" over the lugs. some guys like the 144 down the middle and it seems to work fine for them but i'm going with 192.

Yes 1" wont do anything for you.Get the 1.075".
Understudding a high HP machine like an srx is worse then not studding it. You will put way too much stress on the few you have in and then they rip out and make your track swiss cheese. Stud it once and stud it right with proper length and quantity.

i havent studded it yet. i have 144 one inch studs. 48 are megabites and 96 are diggerz studs. my question is can i use the 48 one inch megabites with 96 megabites that are 1.075

you can mix them if you wish but like we mentioned you're not going to get much benefit using the 1" ones. if i had those i would use those on the outside of the track and then go with my 144 doubles/singles in the centre. i then would replace the outside ones later with the 1.075 when i found some
on sale, but that's me.
my 2001 has the stock .92 track as well and to save it from getting it torn up i'm studding with 192.
there is no since having all that horsepower and not being able to get it to the hard snow or ice.
