Hey Guys
I don't know a lot about clutching yet but I have a Question regarding roller clutches. Is there any real benifit in having a roller over a well set-up standard primary clutch? Also would you say it's more benificial to have a roller primary or a roller secondary if you had to make a choice? Is it just easier to set-up or does it actually help increase performance over the standard clutch?
Thanks again to the many wise people on this forum and the not-so-wise like me who still try...lol!
Chris.

dont know much about roller primary but roller secondary is a huge gain, mostly upshift and especially backshift, will make it feel alot more responsive during trail riding. people claim diffrence in speed but i dont know if its alot though. as far as power i run oem but alot of time into test+tune and setting them up just the way i want them and i can beat alot of people that have rollers, but they may not have the time into setup as i do. just like comparing a bought clutch kit for stock clutches to one like mine that had time put into it to set up for the specific machine. 2 identical sleds usually will not run identical, they are all a little diffrent, not by much but enough when it comes to fine tuning to get every ounce you can out of it. have heard both primary and secondarys are about equall in gain but if i had to guess the secondary is a bit less money, i know oem ones are.

Ok, maybe I'm an idiot....I have been sledding for about 10 years (more involved in the last 4-5), what exactly do the terms up shift and backshift describe?
All I know is when I hit the throttle on the old SRX, it just takes off like a bat outta hell!
