First off, Thanks for welcome guys, kinda new to these forums and i must say theirs some bad *** machines here. I own a 01 sxr700 w/11,000 mi on her, all mods came with purchase, Tripple pipe, vorce 3 reeds, Maxx perf helix and clutch kit, 1 inch paddle 96 picks and runs great, and only have done regular servicing. I was told after lake running sounded like my secondary clutches wear not engaging like they should. So with the mods i have and her high mi what direction should go/work well with what i have. I dont want to overpower and/or create more problems. Any and all input will be helpful...Thanks...

what?? could you explain more? also, what tripple pipes, what helix, what spring in both clutches, what weights, etc. you probably just need to get new bushings in your secondary and primary.
Wish i could give more exact info, still learning what i have, helix, weights, cutching, etc. I want to say slp pipes, is their any way to find out about other mods i have? Belive me i want understand what i have to make proper upgrades. will admit im green but want to be ALL Blue

I dont have near the mods you have but i am wondering if i need some work to my sec also. i pulled it apart and pads are a little wore i did move the spring from 3 to the 6 hole , but mine is 01 700r has 8000 miles on it and all stock components but when i tap the brakes it sounds like the clutch is smacking open
Thanks for the reply, after talking with someone about the problem. I am going to have bushings, spring(s) etc. replaced found the #s for the helix but dont know in what order thay should be (0369) to tell size? can the petals for reeds just be replaced? what is the average cost for pistons and rings? first time for all this...Thanks...

don't need to buy a new helix, unless the ramps are all beat up. you can just replace the bushing. replacement reed petals can be purchased for the delta reeds you got. pistons will run you about $90 each, and rings about $17 a set. base gasket another $25 and then you need head gaskets too. you probably won't need new pistons, if the skirt diameter is still w/in spec, which they probably are. you might just need new rings. what's compression at now and why do you think you need to rebuild? IMO, if it runs fine, just drive it.
Thanks, havent checked compression yet, just wanting to be pro-active, it still is a two stroke(handgranade)but thats also why i didnt buy cat. And if im gonna keep it, i want it worth keeping, also thinking going 136 and upgrade skis for more off trail stuff, riding in central/upper Maine so dont need a freight train
