hello,
I have a 1990 Exciter 570. it was running great a couple weeks ago, but all the sudden Its flooding itself out, especially on PTO cylinder. if the RPMS are kept over 6000 it runs great, but even a second of two of slowing down to cross a road will cause it to bog out. When this happens the plugs are flooded righ out.
i have cleaned the carbs 6 times and still no luck. I have syncronized them, checked floats, jetted them 2 mains leaner, played with airscrew (5/8 is where i used to run it) checked choke cables and adjusted them to spec.
ans still have no luck.
any ideas ?
thanks,

yes it used to always start really good and now it starts harder than it used to. now like 5 pulls warm rather than 1 or 2. thanks

What side is your pulse line to the fuel pump on? I have the same problem going on with my phazer. The mag side floods out. The pulse line from the fuel pump goes to that side. I think the fuel pump diaphragm is bad allowing fuel to flow back into that cylinder. Check that, needle valves and float settings.

thats a damn good idea stinger. i never thought of that.
will be picking up needle and seats and a new fuel pump tomorrow. might try new choke slugs too.
thanks guys,
I will repost when i get her fixed up.
