Looking at a 95 v-max4...

wow,can't believe it,but I found a 95 v-max 4 for sale.Guy is asking $1800 for it,it has only 3050 km's on it,192 studs on track,2001 SRX skid installed plus the old skid to boot.It really looks fine.I e-mailed the guy to see if it is still for sale.This is a nice find...

that has to be the same sled I was looking at..don't make sense.It was posted in the Kijiji adds here in Winnipeg...same wording,same pics..what the :o| I wanted that sled..... :dunno:

You gotta be real careful with these classified websites these days. Seems half the listings are scams.
 
so that wasn't your add in the local site..but they used same wordings and pic.What are they trying to do..suck someone in.One still has to look at a sld before buying it.It was really unreal how I found the ad and then your sled pops up sold...
 
So someone stole the pic and said it was there own! I thought it was kinda wierd to see the exact same sled on the TY classifieds.
 
doesn't make sense .What would the scammer be up to.I e-mailed to them off the ad,but have heard nothing yet.Wouldn't it be funny if I got an e-mail saying that the sled isn't sold and to come down to view it.I will bring mt hunting rifle along with me..thankyou....
 
my guess is that they are trying to somehow tap into peoples personal information through their email accounts. ie. once you contact them they may attempt to hack into your system. Or, maybe they are hoping for a phone number to try and dig up info on people with.

Just a guess...And yes, please bring your rifle and shoot first, questions later.

damn scanners...shoot and ask later..good point.I will have to make sure my anti-virus is working over time just in case.Now you got me all worried now.Time to go scammer hunting.. ;)!
 
Yeah watch out for those scams. My Dad and I were looking at some heavy equipment this past summer and I did some research on line and it was startling the amount of scams on the classifieds. Most of these people are looking for wire transfers or credit card numbers and show the same add on several sites.
 
i wouldn't pay anyone with credit card on a local ad site.It would be a cash deal once sled was looked at,as if I would send the guy $$$ and try to pu sled after....BS
 
not sure if this is the correct place to ask this,
but my friend has a 1992 VMAX 4 and needs a ehaust can.
Does anyone have a good used one.

Blue, i got a bud with one that would probally sell it cheap . It is a 96, with higher k, does have long travel on the rear, and bender stingers. Sounds amazing. Needs some work. It hasnt been ridden in a couple years, sat in my shop until this fall. I had enough of the free storage thing and threw it on a trailer and put the cover on it. Let me know if you are interested, lotsa potential, with a bit o work.
