What is the pulse number for a sx ignition system? And is it different for a srx with the 3D ignition?

Someone must know.

are you referring to the pulser coil output based on an ohm test? either way, the sx has different #'s than the srx, regardless of the ignition output. what year are you working on?

No. I need the ignition pulse number. How many times it fires per revolution as I understand it. Some are 3,4,6 and so on. So I can calibrate my avenger III.

Pulse is 3 times on SXs/SXRs[prior to twin headlight] They spark all 3 cylinders at the same time every 120 degrees of crank revolution...3 times per cylinder/coil per complete 360 degrees of crank revolution.
Pulse is 3 times on 98/99 SRXs,,,same as SXs + SXRs[single headlight]
The SXRs + Mountain Maxs[redheads] with the twin headlights + the 2000-2002 SRXs pulse each cylinder individually only every 120 degrees...still 3 times per complete crank revolution, but only one spark per individual coil/cylinder per 360 degrees of crank revolution.
If in doubt of the pulse setting...I have found with the electronic tachs...just adjust the pulses until it matches up with the factory tach...then you are good to go!
Works for Me!!!

Thank you. 3 does make sense. I don't have a factory tach on this sled, prostock.
