Just wondering if anyone else here with a 85-90 Phazer has put a tunnel extension on there sled. Also where would I find a reasonably priced one?I'm located in central Ontario,Canada.I was thinking it would help with tunnel bracing and someplace to carry a jerry can of gas.

I put a stock one from Yamaha on a short-track Phazer and also bought a Phazer that was extended with a Hartman tunnel extension.

Find a junk phazer (or other Yamaha with the same dimensions) and cut a piece off the rear of the tunnel and shorten the sides.

I was actually thinking of doing that...LOL..That or making one out of sheet metal.PZ 1 said:Find a junk phazer (or other Yamaha with the same dimensions) and cut a piece off the rear of the tunnel and shorten the sides.
Hartman Inc used to have tunnel extentions for Phazers and they were pretty reasonable. ($100) I have made several out of sheet metal that worked really good until I tried to lift the back of the sled. I've mangled 2 of them because they were too thin. Try 1/16 or even 1/8" aluminum and overlap the tunnel around 6" or so. I had them bent with the running boards too so i could just put the stock rear bumper back on. I dont have the sled anymore or I'd attach some pics, sorry.
