00 700 v-max, I have been having some fuel milage issues and some total mph issues, so I have tried to cover all possibilities. carbs cleaned repeatedly, track tension and all new skid bearings. jackshaft and driveshaft bearings. I cleaned the clutches and have tried a few different weight and spring combo's but to no end. I have been looking deeper into the clutch set-up that was in here when I got it and the weights are really strange. they are stamped 8CA 01 and paired with a w-s-w spring. I can't even find out what these weights would have been in, by looking thru the specs. I used to get approx 220 km's to a tank before I was thinkin I was runnin out of fuel but now 180 and not a lot of mile an hour like 70 maybee 80 if I push it. Any way any one recognize these weights and maybee why I would even want them there profile is really weird also. any insite would be good. I am going to dress the clutches once again and see if I missed something.

I have 8ca-01 weights in my 95 VMAX 600 twin. These are the stock ones for my sled. Is your 700 a triple? If so you need more weight on the toe.

Those are an aggressive weight profile, that someone has put in for more of an aggressive shift. (a race weight). I have them on my sx, but i am piped .I think your stock weights for that sled are an 8ch.

I got these weights new this year after my primary clutch blew because of worn out weight. They were slightly used when I got them off kijiji, the guy was running them on his SRX for drag races only, the RPM's would drop off hard on top end but for the short sprint they were excellent.

thanks for the info guys, I think I am going to try to get at it tonight maybee go back to a set of stock weight and start fresh.

what rivets in what holes? what helix and secondary spring in what hole? i've played w/8ca's on a some vipers before, but not on a sx or sx-r. maybe turk will chime in, as he had more experience running those weights on your sled.

THERE IS NO MYSTERY ABOUT 8CA,s. THESE ARE GREAT WEIGHTS AND ARE THE BABY BROTHER TO 8BU. GREAT DRAG RACE WEIGHT. I USED THESE ON THE GRASS IN MY SRX. 3:16 (yammie tony)
