I have been interested in buying a Black Yamaha SX chassie, I would prefer a tripple but would settel for twin. Did Yamaha make any all black units in a tripple? I know of the 04 Viper but maybe still a little too pricey for this project. Let me know your thoughts. I want to reserect the Mercury name. I would like to remove all Yamaha graphics and lay down some new Merc graphics. I grew up on Mercs. I have alot of contacts still at Mercury, some where on the original build teams with Carl Keikifer. Al

98 and 99 XT and XTC were a 700 triple in an all black chassis. i have a 98 XT 700 and it's all black . did a custom hood job myself. As soon as I can figure out how to upload I'll post some pics

isn't Merc and Poolaris together now though lol. Or on some parts of the polaris engines, I may be wrong.
It is too bad Merc stopped making them, when you figure they still make motors for boats, they would have been good sleds thats for sure.

No Merc and Polaris is not together or anypart of as of now. Polaris did buy some of the tooling that Merc had as well as John Deere's tooling. I just wanted a project for this summer, I wouldn't mind just having a conversation piece in my shop. I service about 90% of my customers have a Mercury Product.
