I bought my 2004 Viper S back in December and I am trying to set it up. It came with:

Simon's CPR tripple pipes
Simon's CPR heads
Heel clicker 2-speed clutch (red spring)
Jetting changed (person / couldn't figure out what size of jets)

I blew a belt back a while ago and the twine inside the belt tore the heel's off 2 of the 2-speed clutches so i had to go out and buy a new clutch kit. I Purchased a Heel Clicker STS3HC-10BY.

This is all of the info i have on my sled and I am fairly new into snowmobiles so I cannot get any more information from just looking.

I am looking for someone who can help me out with a starting point for what weight i should run in my clutch.

(My plan is to purchase a 48/34 helix and red secondary spring but for now i would like a setup to run now)

Aggressive Trail riding.

*sorry if this is a beaten topic i searched the forum for topics like mine but i was unable to find it if its there.

UPDATE**
So i went out for a rip today on the river.
i believe i am running a stock secondary.
4.5 in the heel nothing in the center and 3.3 in the tip - red spring(as specified by HC)
I had it up to 111mph on the speedo.

Im running cprs but with a heavy hitter clutch kit. Dont know much about it yet but that is my summer project. It was set up by jeff simmons. I do know that i shift at 9100rpm and it seemms perfect all the way through the band. You got a few more balls then i do as ive only got mine up to 94 on rough ice and backed off. It does run nice though. I also am running a stock secondary. Im also running jeffs jetting. Do a search and that will come up.

thanks. i will look into that!

im going to be buying a secondary spring and helix to help with my tunning and then find the most reliable power setup i can.

if you have any other tips keep me informed!

clutching

ok so i tried the whole marker on the primary sheave and it wears it off until about an inch and a half from the top.

how close to the top should the belt be getting?
ALSO

i was told that i should take my sled run a few pulls with it and see how hot they are. if one was hotter than the other it means thats where its slipping and i should be able to touch both of them.

well i gave it a shot and both of them were extremely hot.

what should i be changing?

HC 40-10
4.3 heel 3.3 tip
red spring

stock secondary
Simons CPR pipes and Head
