Hi guys,
Does anyone have pics or websites to go to for rebuilding a recoil for a 97 sx600? My rope was not going back all the way after starting so I took it off and noticed a few parts I thought I should replace. Now I dont know exactly which dirrection the springs and pawl drive and stuff should go. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 00 700 just did that this week. :o| used a pull cord on the primary, worked easily. Havent pulled it apart, spring is like $10, figured Id replace rope while I was at it. Hope this helps.

The spring end is bent at 90 degrees to hold in place through a slot in the housing. These tend to break over time. A quick fix is to remove the spring, heat with a torch until red - then bend a new 90 degree tab and reinstall.
