RAN MY 2000 SRX TODAY AT THE ICE DRAGS IN SOUTHERN NY. WON 700 STOCK- 800 STOCK- 900 STOCK AND OPEN STOCK. TRACK WAS SHORT,IN TO 500 F.T FROM 660 BECAUSE OF A INSURANCE PROBLEM, WE WERE AROUND 95 MPH IN 500 ft. THIS IS NOT MY 2002 8BU-10 SLED, ITS MY 8BU-00 SLED. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 

how did you set up the 8bu-oo.Mine the first time sucked.Sled would pull at start maybe 7900-8000 and wot only about 8100.Motor was having a hard time to open up.This is with .8 inner and 4.5 outer.w-w-w primary,green 2ndary at 800.Not impressed at all.
Will lighten the tip to 2.4 and try again,if nothing changes..back to the 8dn-20's.
 
His set up will be way different as he is geared a lot lower for 500' races. Gearing makes a huge diff in clutching.
