Hi guys ,i have a 97 vmax 600 twin that i bought in the summer.Runs fine but has electrical issues.First the gas guage would not work.I downloaded a manual and did tests on the sending unit.It checked out fine with resistance values empty and full .I tried voltage at the guage itself and the guage worked. Guage still does not work.Handwarmers have no switch to regulate them but they work fine.Just last night i went for a drive and lost headlight and tail lights.Checked them today and both bulbs are burned.I also checked all wiring for rubs against frame,no bare wires. Not sure if its regulator ,condenser problems or something else.
Sounds like voltage regulator and bad gauge.

X2 on voltage regulator.
would that be the rectifier/regulator or just the voltage regulator assembly. What exactly does that condenser do that plugs in under the guage assembly?Oh and is a switch actually neccesary for the handwarmers or fine without one?
