I have a 1998 SRX 700. Cleaned the carbs and power valves at the begining of the season, also adjusted the power valves. Took the sled to the UP before christmas, sled ran excellent. I left the sled in the trailer at the cabin for a week. I noticed that the plastic buttons in the secondary had worn through and aluminum was riding on the helix. I am almost positive that I correctly took apart and re-assembled the secondary when I replaced the buttons ($13 a piece). There were some gouges on the helix from where the bottons had worn down, so I scuffed off the roughness with a piece of emery cloth. The second trip, after I replaced the buttons, the sled seemed 'boggy.' Normally the sled jumps to 8300 rpm and pulls to 8600, but now it jumps to around 7500 and pulls to 7800. I took the clutch apart and put it back together again to see if I put it back together right, and everything seemed right. I recleaned the power valves and there are no pull throughs. What did I do to my sled?

sure you have the secondary spring wraped the same percentage?
