I have a buddy who will swap a skid for me into my 700, now he only wants $200 and that includes oil and what not for the gearcase. So IMO good deal since I never have done this in my life.
Now since I want to change up to a 136 track from a 121 track, what skids can I use that will not be a huge modification to put in and not cost a small fortune.
I was thinking of just using the Skid extensions and then getting a new track, probably the easiest, but is it actually a good idea, wouldn't the extension be a very but weak point per say if you jumped and landed tail down.
BTW if any of you have a skid that will fit and track, least a 1.25 lug no bigger then 1.50 let me know,
Or do you people think with a 136 that I will be able to do a lot more with a lesser lug in the powder?
Thanks for all the info thus far guys, you all have really helped me out on my first Yammy.

If I had to do it over again I would just find a used M-10 136 or a suspension out of a RMK and throw that in. Rail extensions are fairly easy and I have landed very very hard on my, bent the piss out of my tunnel extension and my rails are perfectly straight still. So if you want a different brand skid IMO go with a POO. Otherwise just get your shocks rebuilt and go with the ext's. Also if you dont mind changing drivers, go with a 8t from a MM or buy some extro's and you can run a 2" paddle. I went with 8t drivers and I am running a 1.5. I wish I would have gone taller but 1.5 is perfect IMO for the U.P. and where I ride down here.
