Finally got some feed back on my burn down, last month, earlier today... It wasn't caused by air leak on bad intaike boots, but wrong nozzles in '90 carbs? Not enough air caused PTO piston to fail...On hearing that, checked with other sources and they recommended jetting changes, since I am running an Aaen quiet pipe, need to jet it up 1 or 2 sizes. Most never heard of that nozzle thing. Any other suggestions from you experts out there? I want to get this thing going!
Winter is going fast (at least we had a month, so far)!

Something a mechanic mentioned yesterday about boring out the carbs? He used to race phazers and was going to try to find his stat sheets... Anyone done anything like that? He wasn't very kind to those older Mikunis...

Thanks Big-Kid, this is the nozzle thing I heard about last week. Justv picked up some fatter mains, but probably better do this updated nozzle.

Finally getting Phazer back...almost

Here's the latest on The 1990 Phazer II I tried to get right. I'm picking it up tomorrow, but my mechanic says it still won't run right at higher RPM's-sounds almost like pre-burn down. I run an Aaen pipe, bored over .03 and replaced pistons and top end with gaskets.Jets were changed to 152 and 155 (PTO side). I was advised to do the 1996 Nozzle upgrade, but that has not been done, to best of my knowledge. He's stumped about top end problems. Wondering if anyone else has had these issues and resolved. Do I now go for the nozzles, and which one?

Phazer II running!!!

Got it back Saturday and it runs OK, at least another piston won't go 'til we do the nozzle upgrade...Good off season project, but I guess it could be worse. Only dropped a few hundred in it so far. I'll post finished project in Fall... It was near 70 here when i got sled, and snow in air yesterday PM, in 40's mostly this week! I'm ready for Spring!!!
Anybody got any leads on a good front shock for the skid? Got a Ryde FX for rear already!
