Eganville

If I could have figured out the classes..

How did you do..some were pretty fast...

I was there with the 292 sno jet guys...and that big 500 single..

Was it the number 66 Sno Jet that seemed to block me in turn 1 every heat? ;)

I managed to keep the stock sled in the front of the pack for most of the heat races but ended up somewhere mid pack in the finals.
The mod sled was doing great on Saturday but ended up burning down after the last heat of the day. Raced the stocker in mod on Sunday and ended up 4th or 5th in the final

No - it was the oval race jet # 71..he did well....builders and 340 vintage...

You guys can make them (292's) things fly...I was impressed....some just screamed...wow...

As far as the big guys.I've not been to an oval in sevearl decades...they are really no faster than the 70's when all the factories were involved...turn better...I think the fastest lap time was the twin tracker era..I drove one on a 1/3 mile oval the other week...

97 mph Champ
84 mph Pro Formula 500 (was a mut in its day)

So?

Oh ok you were with Arnie then. That thing was really hauling, too bad about the ski on Sunday!

We also had the Mod Sno Jet with the GYT pipe. Ended up getting that 40mm Mikuni for it, just looking to tear it down and get another piston in it soon.

ya..I'm the only other person in the world to ever drive his sled..it was an honor...don't think he was comfortable to see it on 1 ski (with an old guy at the wheel) off the turns,,that hood is the last of its kind...

I'm scarred to drive a full lap fast after being away so long...

Will you be at the next Ontario oval?

You must have a piston port...do you mean the pipe that came off the OEM SR292. I didn't think a GYT pipe was made...as it had one.

40 mm hmmmm

pro Champ sleds run 34 mm at near 100 mph

I think Formula run a 34 as well...

My buddie put 440 GPX carb on his changed the low end..and it went real fast...(it was in a flat track mpotorcycle)

I raced the origional SR292 in the day...pumper carb..needed to be within 1/1000 th of a turn to run up front..didn't touch the jug..or head..
