It would be better if you could leave the valve in but somehow secure it open. Is there enough cable left over to "tie the valve up?
If you pull the whole power valve out you will probably end up with exhaust and black oil leaking out of the cable opening.

you can disconnect the cable and but leave in the valve. it will not have the same top end or low end response thou.

yeah, its why i ask about removing to valve or find a trick to keep the valve in the housing but in the "open" position
With just one valve not working, the difference in power is really noticeable

I wouldn't think you would hurt anything by just leaving it out...but I have never had to do it...Yet
You sure wouldn't want to miss a weekend of riding, they are far too few!

ITS unreal here! i live in NOrth CANADA and no damn snow!!! I never seen a winter like that .. I mean, we still see the grass in front of the houses!! Just enough snow to trail ride.. WIth the temperature right now, i dont think i will still able to trail ride by the end of the month!!
So, by removing the valve, i assume it will work like all the 3 valves are open when i will hit high rpm??

depends.I am guessing mine was open when I removed the outside housing. But the sled(2002) would blink the light yet and motor was being retarded or something. The servo motor didn't even wind back,so at idle the valves were all open all the time.Sled went "BLAH!" when I pinned it from a standstill,it wouldn't rev past 8000 rpm.

Wait for your cable to come in your sled will work ok at low speeds but anything over 60 mph and you are riding with friends say goodbye to you friends and if you do any kind of elevation riding it will run like crap and be very un enjoyable, just my 2 cents.

i will not have the cable until 2 weeks.. And like i said, i did ride the sled yesterday for testing and it was running fine at high rpm... All 3 valve are open, so, why i would have less power%
