Susgestion for clushing SRX 700 2001

For the primary
Spring = stock YWY = but color it's gone ?
Ramp = 8bu-00
Ramp weight = ???

For the secondairy
Helix = Apex 51/43
Spring = stock Red
Load spring-cam= 80 = 6+2

All the rest of the sled it's stock and it's like new , even if thats sled it's a SRX 700,2001 , he was in very good shape

what are you asking here?
 
remember what Turk said the other day.He doesn't suggest at all using 8dn-20's with the 51/43 helix.My 51/43 was over reving a little.But I had good luck last season ending when temps were warm and snow was mushy.Now that snow is more crisp and it is cooler,I went back to 47 helix.
 
a 51/43 is less agressive then a strate 47 & will raise rpm,s.
 
today , me and my friend (Apex GT LTX 2009 ) was on a lake in quebec area,
-10 , on ice whit 1 inch of snow

we make couple run , Apex it's stock,

2 or 3 run , whit my set up stock
0 to 200 feet he is in front of me
200 to 1500 i slowly cash him
1500 to 2000 side by side
2000 and + i going slowly
180 on a dream meter at 8400rpm

I don't have my 8bu , so i decide to trie the helix of my Apex

not so good , but not so bad
0 to 400 i was in front
400 to 1000 he cash me and side by side
1000 to 2000 he going
170 on the dream meter at 8500rpm

i put back the stock set up , i gone have the rest of my new set up this week
and give you some new ,

I just can't seem to get good results this year so far,last year was my year.I have the 8dn-20 with 4.5 inner and 3.6 outer, stock primary spring.The 2ndary is a 47 helix with red spring at 80.
She is really great at mid range,instant pull when I hit throttle.But for some reason I am having a hard time just getting to 95 on speedo and really hard to hit even 100.Last season I was at 100 instantly and then needle dropped and sled was hitting 115 to 118.Now I have 120 megabite studs now,but that shouldn't slow me down that much.Track rolls super easily,so no binding there at all.PV's all clean and adjusted and working.I did put in 50 pilots from the 42.5 of last year..would this cause a slow down of some type..I don't know.Also was in the 70 wrap range also.So I will drop to 70 wrap red spring and see if rpm's drop a bit.
I had 4.5 outer and small washer under it for a total of 4.9g and wot was 8000 to 8050 maybe.I changed to 3.6 and I get an instant 500 rpm climb.I really would like to be around 8400 wot,not 8500 boardering to 8600.Out of the hole it seems to lag a bite until she kicks in,launches approx 8500 and drops back and climbs.
I may try to place about a 4.1 g rivet in the tip then..halfway point of 3.6 and 4.9 g.Or I can try 70 wrap first to see were I am at and go from there..TURK!!
 
I,m running 8dn-20 with 4.5 inner hole.5 gram.s outer hole.stock gearing 47 helix.running 8500 rpm,s no problem at all.And it really pulls hard.
 
he is probably running stock red spring in secondary I would think.I ran last week 8dn-20's with 4.5 inner and outer,red spring at 80 with 47 helix and wot is only 8000-8100.Still gets to 90 to95 mph.Changed as mentioned to 3.6 outer and now it is at 8500 wot but still hard to hit 100mph :o| :o| This is poor for an SRX I must say.I don't have that rip roaring launch as should have,maybe the 50 pilots are screwing me up some.Maybe I'll switch back to 42.5 and put up with more idle hang up I guess.

Ramp= 89A 10 , center 0 , tip 3.1
spring= stock

Secondary
helix= 51/43
spring= green
6+2 = 80 degree

What do you thinks of this ,

put a spring around 136 total force .....g-w-g
70 degree green wrap ..u will need to put some in middle around 52 53 gram total if my memory is good

well I have my 8bu's set yup tonight with .8 inner and 2.4 outer as per turk.Running wy-w-y primary.Going with 47 helix with green spring at 80 as it is the only stiffer spring I have here.We shall see what comes of it tomorrow.
And mopar,went back to the 42.5 pilots and got my launch snap back.Got fuel screws at 2 1/4 out and idle's down to 1600 pretty fast.

Yes , for the primary spring , i have both, y-w-y and g-w-g

I gone try first the G-W-G

What do you put in the 89A-10 = center = ??

try to figure 52gram something around it maybe more 58 can't remember lolllll.. u will need to do some test after ..maybe mopar could help me out loll..did so many set up i can't remember let me think a moment

close to the set up , Turk give me last week, but i am still waiting for my 8bu
