With stock settings, how fast should my sled top out with me (160lbs+gear)?
I had it up to 90 and that's all it seemed to have and I thought it should go faster than that. I had my wife's 91 Exciter up to 92MPH, so unless isn't set up right or the speedo's incorrect . . .
The snow was powdery and had some bare patches on the ice. I could feel it when the studs grabbed the ice.

My 98 With 5000 miles and all stock except for RX1 rear shock will go 90 With me on it. I am 350 , I picked up 2 mph by turning off carb heaters. This is by GPS.

I don't believe I have carb heaters, and if I did, I wouldn't know where they are to be shut off. I would think my sled should go a whole lot faster than it does. Maybe I'll have the carbs looked at for adjustment. I sometimes get a low-end bog coming off the line and I changed the plugs with no change. I am running 9's for plugs and I guess 8's burn hotter. I don't know how much of a difference this may make. It could just be the powdery snow and not getting a good bite.

Mine was registered on a frozen lake last weekend. It was about 15 degrees. Carb heater is that small valve under the hood with the hose going to it. It is easy to see.
