SRX 700 Tach wired to 98 SX sled

SRX 700 Tach wiring to 98 SX 700

Hi, I have a 98 SX 700 converted to Mountain sled. I have lightweight Mtn hood and have a tach from SRX700 (1998/1999). I will mount it to my handle bars but wondering if anyone knows the wiring to take from the 98 SX 700 to this sole tach from the 98/99 SRX 700 tach. It is 4 wires..... so I need to cut off the cluster harness from mine and get the 4 correct wires that will connect to this tach. I do have the schematic but it is to small to read. Just wonder if someone has it out here...... thanks!! CC

As long as the tach is from a single headlight sled it will work. The only reason there are more connectors is because there is a different number of back lights. The tach and fuel gauge are the same wiring.
 
Ok here is a question that is partially answered in this thread, but can you use the newer Half digital clusters on the older sleds like mine 98 700? Just curious since basically the body is still the same. And or can you use an SRX cluster on a V Max, as personally the lighting on the older cluster on the V Max is pretty sub par, the only thing I can say I like is the Gas Gauge lol.

Well my 98 SX 700 had the speedo/tach cluster together but I have just the separate tachometer from the SRX that had speedo and tach separate. My 98 had a large wiring plugin to that cluster and the srx tach has just 4 wires. I need to match the correct wires from that 98 cluster wiring to the 4 wires on that srx 4 wire plugin. I just don't have the wiring schematic from the 1998 SX 700 to find what 4 wires I need to hook up to it so it will operate.
