Just got my hands on a set of SLP pipes for the wife's SXR 700... Anybody have a good starting point clutching setup for them? What rpm do the run?
they run 8900 to 9000. I have run this setup for over 8000 miles. 147.5 mains across stock pilots 2nd clip, 8CR weights with bender blue spring in primary. I cant remember what helix is in my secondary off the top of my head its a Bender secondary. did you get the 3 into 1 can? or the old style stingers?

8900-9000........they run the same rpm's as the Hauck's that ive run for years. I should be able to clutch similar to those then i am hoping :-) I have about 9 helixes and a pile of springs to play with

I put these pipes on earlier in the season and all I can say is I like them alot. I went with 150 mains but recommend 147.5 if you ride in warmer weather. Even at -15c im still pretty rich up top. Unless of course u ride in below 0f them run the 150.

Yes the SLP website has all the info. Basically it says 0 to 20f =147.5/ 0f to-20f=150. Needles and pilots stock til 0f or colder. I think they leave you pretty safe, even on a -5f day my plugs looked pig rich WOT. I even raised the needles when I did the install because I wanted a safe baseline(it was very cold that day -10f) and it was wayyy rich in the midrange so I put it back to stock. Im gonna go with 147.5 for next season because I know im losing power on the warm days with the 150s
