Hello guys, I just installed the longer rsi oil and throttle cable and I know how to adjust it its just that what does it mean by "free play at the throttle block". I put it all back to gether and what i think it means is with the cable removed from the throttle block I measured from the end of the housing to the nipple end. Thanks

free play is measured with the throttle cable attached to the throttle block. what freeplay means is slack, the flipper should move 1 or 2 millimeters before the cable pulls.i just installed longer cables on my srx. the oil cable was tougher to figure out because the longer cable does not pull apart like the stock one. i set it so when the throttle hit the max stop at the carb the oil pump also hit the stop now i am backing off the oil so i will be at 1/2 liter oil per 25 liters gas (50:1) the first tank of gas i added some oil just in case it wasnt using any .good luck

Im still not positive how you measure the slack with it in the throttle block. I have a metric caliper. I think I will do the same afar as you did with both throttle and oil pump hitting stoppers at same time. Then watch usage. I just dont think this should be this hard.

just wiggle the flapper a bit and make sure that it moves a bit before the carb throttle moves, if your too tight the tors will kick in limiting your rpm to 3000

I just measured at the throttle block. The crimped metal end of the oil cable housing lined up with the throttle block when seated at idle. I pulled the housing out of the seat at the throttle block and measured the same spot on the cable to the throttle block.
