I rode a 2011 800 etec mxz with the racer type shock package at cruiserfest. It was quite a beast, but very nice and actually rode very well.
I rode a renegade 1200 4 tec and was pretty impressed, but I like the nytro xtx better.
Yamaha had no room to let me ride the 2011 prototype apex, and I wanted to, but I will next year on the full production model. The other sled I want to try yet is the rush, especially the 800 pro version.
Now hopefully I can buy a new sled next year. LOL
I put around 500 miles on this weekend all over Minocqua, Rhinelander, and Tomahawk area, and hope to get up at least 1 more long weekend this season.

Those 800 powertek's are dinosaurs compared to the e tec. It's that much of a difference.
the only issue I saw on that etec800 was the idle was a little vibey. if that isn't addressed, it is a minor gripe.
