Does anyone know a quick way to check for cyl out of round? Can it be done by installing a new ring in the cyl and and checking with feeler gages for gaps??
It looks like my snow scoot compression is too low (80 PSI cold, no starting fluid) wich is causing fuel delivery problems during starting and low idle. I am hoping to get away with new rings and honing, but would like to check the cylinder while I have it out.

The best thing to do is take it to your local automotive machine shop and they should be able to do it for you ,and they usually don't charge anything. It takes a bore gauge to do it right and they are expensive, they will check it in different spots in the cylinder and can give you a very accurate job.
