Hey guys..
I should give the full story..
Couple weeks ago I had an overheating issue on my 600. Ended up blowing the cap right off the resevoir tank. After extensive searching i found a broken hose clamp on the one coolant hose running from the res. tank to the front heat extanger. No other signs of issues (good compression (140psi), coolant system pressure check, combustion chambers are clean, pipes are clean). I didnt go pull the heads or anything yet since i found the broken hose clamp. I finally assumed throughout the 200 km's i put on that day the hose leaked coolant till the point it wasnt flowing well enough, and overheated. But since then ive taken her for a rip near my house. Every time i throttle down somewhat hard, 2 seconds or so later my temp light starts to flash, and will immidiatly shut off as soon as i get off the throttle. Almost seems to me like there must be something restricting the flow of the coolant, like at higher rpms its not able to keep up (but thats a uneducated guess). The power has not been effected yet.. still tons there. Thought maybe a bad thermostat (though at idle coolant seems to be flowing just fine), otherwise im lost. If i dont find any answers i guess ill start by testing the stat. Otherwise ill have to start a teardown, which just blows cause i dont have much time for that, and theres just not much left of the season.
If anyone has any ideas or input, id love to hear it!!
Edit: Thought i should add this motor was redone about 1500 km's ago, never had an issue with it till now no matter what temp or conditions.

Power valve fault
So, the stat was pooched, but that wasnt the reason for the light.. it was actually the a fault light for my powervalve servo.. Makes sence thinking back.. with the light going out as soon as i got off the throttle.. the servo would be turning back then. turns out one of the cables got wrapped up and off track.. probably when i replaced the o-rings for the cables last week. Stupid mistake i overlooked. But that was a serperate issue. Think that stat was still the reason for the overheating.
