I've got the rear skid out right now (had the W arm welded up) replace bearings etc... I notice my sliders are worn sort of wavy, but they've been on for a few years now and aren't wearing fast. So will the uneven wearing have much effect on performance? I know if I put new ones they'll just do the same thing. My track is always as loose as possible without ratcheting. 3/4" track w/96 1.250 chisels in the centre. Also wondering if I should bother throwing 48 more on the outside? Will the added stress on the track be worth the gain in traction? I mostly just play on the lake these days.
Thanks. I appreciate all advice, information and lectures.

my hyfax were uneven and wavy also on my SRX.Now I put on new graphite hyfax, same as the last ones...removed second wheel from the front of skid both sides..installed ice scratchers. Can you beliece mt hyfax have not worn down even a mm in 3 weeks, and I run her hard..I am happy..hyfax staright thru out and no waves.I also put small marginal wheels up on the bend of ther rails.I may never have to change hyfax again..seriously!!!!

I drill 3/16 lube holes in ALL of my sleds. Seems to increase life and balance out the wear. I also always re-use my sliders and spin them around and basicaly use them twice...
